Hello to you!
March 9, 2011, it's just an ordinary wednesday right? For Christians, it's Ash Wednesday. And for us Thomasians, it's the day of commemorating Ash Wednesday in unity, AS IN WE ARE UNITED by forming a LARGE human cross (a dominican cross) in front of UST's grandstand! Imagine that? At least 24,000 people that consists of students, professors, employees, parents and different personnels joined this historical event in an attempt to make a world record for being the LARGEST HUMAN CROSS FORMATION.
If you guys are not familiar on what a dominican cross looks like, here's an image of dominican cross. =))
So. as the ritual goes on, I can see it clearly that UST has a high chance of getting the record from Norway. BTW. Norway is the current record holder for making the largest red cross that symbolize the Red Cross on May 2010 at the Oslo Opera House. A total of 935 Norweigan participants took part in making that giant red cross. =)) Here's a pic of what Norway did last May.
Okay. Let's go back to UST. Here's a picture of UST's human cross formation

Anyway, I hope that this new bid can be a success for the thomasian community. =))
This is a fact: even though UST is also after the world record, the true goal of this culminating event is to represent our penance and unending faith to the Supreme One. =))
Cheers,
Adrian
